He was predeceased by: his parents, Elgin "Doc" Barrett and Nettie Steenbergen Barrett; and his siblings, Rondall Barrett and Watha Wood. He is survived by: his wife Deresa Kirkwood Barrett; and his siblings, Rommie Barrett and Peggy Barrett. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
