She was predeceased by: her parents, Madlene McKeehan Farmer and Howard Farmer, Sr.; and her husband Joe Bill Carter. She is survived by: her children, John Carter III (Leighann) and Darla Carter Heflin (Anthony); her grandchildren, Jaycee Carter, Lia-Kate Carter and Luke Heflin; her siblings, Howard Farmer Jr., Timothy Farmer, Jan Higdon, Joyce Johnson, Alice Farmer and Laura Caraway; and her nephew Church.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mount Pleasant Funeral Home (122 N Cumberland Ave, Harlan, KY 40831). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at the Fields Cemetery.
