He is survived by: his children, Sean McCubbins (Niki), Elizabeth Bowers (Chris) and Charles Garlinger II (Colleen); his grandchildren, Ashley, Sierra, Josh, Lance, Joshua, Bailey, Jake and Taylor; his great grandchildren, Keyden, Kaia, Sophia and Joshua; his pet Diablo; his brother Edward "Bubby" Garlinger; his nephew Shawn Armstrong; and his nieces, Peggy Garlinger and Trish Armstrong.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the same location.
