He was predeceased by: his grandson Jonathan Hensley; his sister Imo Jean Randolph; and his parents, Habary Joines and Nellie Joines. He is survived by: his wife Gwyn Mabrey Joines; his children, Dawn Hensley (Tony) of Greenville, Kellie Joines of Owensboro, Jill Joines of Central City, Kecia Shelton (Timmy) of Greenville and Darrin Joines (Barbara) of Franklin, TN; his grandchildren, Whitney Hensley-Young (Ronnie), Paige Harrell (Dalton), Adam Joines and Dylan Joines; and his great grandchildren, Nolan Young and Habary Young. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
