He was predeceased by: his wife Effie Nelson; his parents, Vernon Nelson and Helen Anderson; and his siblings, Mike Armour and Susan Simmons.
He is survived by: his children, Charles Nelson (Mendy) and Jennifer Nelson; and his grandchildren, Brittany Randolph and Alexander Brett Nelson. He is also survived by four great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Tucker Funeral Home (113 N 3rd St, Central City, KY 42330). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
