He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil James and Ida James; his siblings, Barbara Dukes, Ellen Logsdon, Nancy Forsythe and Leon James; and his brothers-in-law, Joe Dukes, J. T. Forsythe and Milton George.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Rager James; his son Donny James (Amanda); his sister Linda George; his siblings-in-law, Owen Logsdon and Edna James; and his grandsons, Isaac Nelson and Jake Nelson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Tucker Funeral Home (113 N 3rd St, Central City, KY 42330). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at the Rose Hill Cemetery (603 Everly Brothers Blvd, Central City, KY 42330).
