It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rebecca Joines of Central City, Kentucky, who passed away on October 30, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Shemwell and Peggy Shemwell; her son Joseph Joines; and her siblings, Lonnie Shemwell, Joyce Corey, June Perry, Shirley Strange, Gail Grogan and Vicky Avery.
She is survived by: her husband Gary Joines; her children, Danny Joines (Louise), Gary Wayne Joines (Teresa) and Rebecca Jeffries (Ricky); and her siblings, Debra Morris, Beverly Uzzle, Larry Shemwell (Tilda), Ronnie Shemwell (Debbie), Keith Shemwell (Sharon), Marty Shemwell (Phyllis) and Kevin Shemwell (Lisa). She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 8:00 AM at the Powderly Holiness Church (4197 US-62, Central City, KY 42367). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at the Cemetery Rose Hill Cemetery (603 Everly Brothers Blvd, Central City, KY 42330).
