With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Paul Davis Gibson of Clarkson, Kentucky, who passed away on June 22, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Justin Garland and Emma Carby Gibson; his wife Janice Morrison Gibson; his grandchildren, Cheyenne Gibson and Jacob Hatfield; and his siblings, Lowell, Troy, Euell, Jesse, Ralph, Robert, Geneva, Lillian, Francis, Anthonette and Alverta.
He is survived by: his children, Victoria Hatfield of Louisville, Pauletta Stevenson of Leitchfield, Phillip Gibson (Martina) of Bowling Green and Velvet Jones (Tim) of Clarkson; and his grandchildren, Christopher Lee (Millie), Seth Lee (Teresa), Ashley Holley (Jay), Ivan Gibson, Spencer Jones (Elizabeth) and Sheldon Jones (Kelsey). He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and one on the way; and five great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Dermitt Funeral Home (306 W Main St, Leitchfield, KY 42755). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Dermitt Funeral Home (306 W Main St, Leitchfield, KY 42755).
