He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Lee Shuler and Mertie Gross Shuler; and his wife Mary Sue Montgomery Shuler. He is survived by: his sons, Bobby Ray Shuler (Leslie) of Jeffersonville, Danny Lee Shuler (Debbie) of Berea and Ricky Don Shuler (Angie) of Richmond; his grandchildren, Keith Shuler (Destinee), Stacey Shuler, Amanda Goosey (Steve), Brandon Shuler (Brandi), Tosha McClure (Thomas) and Ashley Shuler (Jake Knox); and his great grandchildren, Tyler Kuhn, Zachary Kuhn, Madison Kuhn, Corden Wesley McClure, Kylie Bleu McClure, Brayden Ray Shuler, Brooklyn Gail Shuler, Branson Shuler and Memphis Shuler.
After dedicating 28 years to Walker Construction Company, James retired, leaving behind a legacy marked by hard work and significant contributions to the construction industry.
