With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Thompson of Clay City, Kentucky, born in Ashland, Kentucky, who passed away on August 16, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Meredith Thompson and Verna Boggs Thompson; his former wife Mary Jo Thompson; his son Anthony Carl Thompson; and his siblings, Clyde Thompson, Johnny Thompson, Joe Thompson, Luke Thompson, Tom Thompson, Betty June Tackett, Ruth Cervantez, Mae Thompson and Della Green.
He is survived by: his children, William Thompson, Jr. (Lucy) of Stanton, James Edward Thompson (Lisa) of Clearfield, Ronnie Thompson (Donna) of Morehead, David Thompson (Sonya) of Stanton, Rebecca Luman of Greenbrier, TN and Patricia Pardue of Morehead; and his brother Jack Thompson of Middletown, OH. He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren.
