Richard leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Richard’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Richard will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Carol Hess. He is survived by: his children, Richard Hess, Jr. (Lisa) of Clay, Ronda Eaton (David) of Evansville and Ricca Guess (Don) of Fredonia; and his siblings, Raymond Teague (Barbara) of Providence, Doug Crisp of Princeton and Donna Kay Stewart (Brent) of Princeton. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Vanover Funeral Home (9000 KY-132, Clay, KY 42404). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
