He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Stewart and Anna Lee Stewart; his brothers, Herbert, Jeffrey, David and Victor; and his nephews, Claude E. and Andrew Stewart.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Stewart of Clay, KY; his daughters, April Sutton (Jerritt) of Mt. Carmel, IL and Annie Powell of Clay, KY; his siblings, Claudette "Sissy" Stewart of Tucson, Arizona and Robert "Bobby" Stewart of Slaughters, KY; his sister-in-law Nancy Stewart of Dixon, KY; and his grandchildren, Justin Sutton, Courtney Sutton and Cody Sutton. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the New Hopewell Cemetery (3000 New Hopewell Church Rd, Clay, KY 42404).
