He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Van Giles and Thelma Irene Dixon Hopkins; and his former wife Nadine Rich Giles. He is survived by: his wife Gayle Garrison of Columbia One; his son Dr. Chuck; his daughter-in-law Melissa Giles of Columbia; his grandchildren, Chaz Giles (Samantha), Dr. Van Giles (Karli), Baylor Giles and Clay Giles; his great grandchildren, Josie Nae Giles, Charlie Freeborn Giles, Kip Stephen Giles and Guy Ellis Giles; his siblings, Dee Giles of Florida Two, Frances Reynolds of Columbia and Judy Jones of Brownstown, Indiana.; his stepchildren, Amy Mitchum (Mike) and James Garrison (Paula); and his stepgrandchildren, Michael Mitchum (Tiffany), Mary Burton (Levi), Kayla Jones (Trent) and Clint Garrison (Savannah). He is also survived by her nine great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren Several other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to Trinity Church which can be left at the funeral home or the church.
