As we bid Gertrude farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Gertrude is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Deroy Knifley and Mary Eliza White Knifley; her husband Walter Tedder; and her nephew Ronnie Brandenburg. She is survived by: her sibling's children, Gary Merrit (Gail) of Campbellsville, Special and Peggy Knifley Lawson (J. C.) of Campbellsville, Chosen; and her grandchildren, Walter Lee Brandenburg of Roley and Jennifer Brandenburg Owens of Somerset. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Grissom-Martin Funeral Home (200 Campbellsville St, Columbia, KY 42728). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
