It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Murry Ballou of Columbia, Kentucky, who passed away on December 19, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Estel Ballou and Mary Hunter Ballou. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Hancock Ballou of Columbia, KY; his children, Ann Young (Toby) of Columbia, KY, Jenny Myers (Chad) of Columbia, KY and Ben Ballou (Elizabeth) of Columbia, KY; his grandchildren, Will Myers (Maddie), Miller Young (Kaitlynn Vela), Abby Baker (Walter), Maggie Young, Nathan Ballou, Lilly Myers, Sallie Ballou and Hunter Ballou; and his siblings, Sherman Ballou (Sharon) of Cave City, KY, Juanita Pendygraft (Neil) of Glasgow, KY and Marla Shelley (J. M.) of Columbia, KY. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St. Jude or WHAS Crusade for Children and can be left at the funeral home.
