He was predeceased by: his parents, James Russell and Josephine Burton Denton; his son David Wayne Denton; his brothers, Freddie Ray, William Robert and Leonard "Jeff" Denton; and his brother-in-law Willard Bryant.
He is survived by: his wife Mitchelene Kell Denton of Columbia, KY; his daughter Robin Foley (Tim) of Columbia, KY; his granddaughters, Kenna Grace and Tinlee Faith Foley; his siblings, Jimmy Denton (Juanita) of Columbia, KY, Sandra Denton Bryant of Columbia, KY, Marty Ellis (Jimmy) of Columbia, KY and Minnie Smith (Barry) of Columbia, KY; and his sisters-in-law, Sharlet Denton of Columbia, KY and Fayrene Denton of Columbia, KY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Free Union Seperate Baptist Church (4642 Sano Rd, Columbia, KY 42728). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
