He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Oscar and Dellie Rogers Parnell; and his siblings, Carl Parnell, James "Jiggs" Parnell, Ora Sneed, Pauline Sneed, Lillian Coomer, Alice Sneed and Flossie Hamlett.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean Hamlett Parnell of Columbia; his daughters, Ann Marr (Timmy) of Greensburg and Pam Jones of Columbia One; his grandson David Marr (Heather) of Lexington Three; and his great grandchildren, Anneliese, Madelyn and Emmeline.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to Jones Chapel Church which can be left at the funeral home.
