He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Cook and Lyda Burton Cook; and his wife Phyllis Jean Pike Cook. He is survived by: his sons, Kenneth Michael "Mike" Cook (Tina) of Columbia, KY and James Harold Furkin (Shay) of Springville, AL; his grandchildren, Ethan Cook, Skylar Hare, Judah Furkin and Jubilee Furkin; and his sister-in-law Bobbie Sue Byerly.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home (210 Greensburg St, Columbia, KY 42728). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
