He was predeceased by: his parents, Byron Wayne and Laverne Gaskin Helm; and his sister Carlotta Keltner. He is survived by: his wife Dana Smallwood Helm of Columbia, KY; his children, Michael Smallwood (Vanessa) of Columbia, KY, Wayne Helm of Columbia, KY and Summer Helm (Steven McCaig) of Colorado; his grandchildren, Joshua Smallwood (Brennan), Jordan Smallwood (Kaylei Neat) and Mia Martinez; and his sisters, Kathy Nissley (Daniel) of Columbia, KY, Linda Kelley (Joe) of Campbellsville, KY and Bridget Singleton (Jeff) of Stanford, KY. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, friends.
I lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
