He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Burton and Altha Pyles Burton; and his wife Ethel Hadley Burton. He is survived by: his daughters, Tonya Loy (Mike) of Columbia and Annette Hatcher (Chris) of Columbia; his grandchildren, Will Loy of Richmond, KY, Riley Lane Loy of Lincoln, NE and Carah Dell Claiborne (Dusty); his great grandchild Archie James Claiborne; and his siblings, Ralph Burton (Peggy), Gail Camfield (Randy), Kevin, Mick, Wayne Burton, Frankie Hatch and JoAnn Burton.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Church (2418 Campbellsville Rd, Columbia, KY 42728). A burial will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at the Haven Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Kosair Charities or Bearwallow Cemetery and can be left at the funeral home.
