He was predeceased by: his parents, Bryant Shearer and Cittie Melson Shearer; his daughter Vickie Davidson; and his sisters, Dorothy Yates, Jeanette Shearer and Jenell Shearer.
He is survived by: his wife Pam Shearer of Columbia, Two; his sons, Ralph William Shearer (Lisa) of Louisville and Matt Downen of Danville, Two; and his grandchildren, Emily Shearer of Lexington and Clay Hild of Louisville. He is also survived by Several other family members and friends.
