He was predeceased by: his parents, Lenis Jones and Tinie Estes Jones; his wife Bobbie Jean Loy Jones; and his brothers, Clayton Jones, Stanley Jones and Marcus Jones.
He is survived by: his sons, Barney Jones (Laura) of Louisville and Gregary Jones (Susan) of Palestine; his siblings, Harry Jones of Crestwood One and Margaret Hurt of Louisville Five; his grandchildren, Andrew Jones, Paul Jones, Sara Blackshear, Ben Jones and Will Jones; and his great grandchildren, Cohen, Sidney, Wyatt, Katlee, Lochlyn, Maisie, Ryleigh, Lorelei, Van and Beau.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Grissom-Martin Funeral Home (200 Campbellsville St, Columbia, KY 42728). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
