He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Smith and Lois Anderson Smith; and his brother Billy Smith. He is survived by: his wife Margie Sue Rodgers Smith of Columbia Four; his sons, Tim Smith of Portland, Greg Smith (Valette) of Elizabethtown, Ricky Smith of Summersville and Pat Smith (Angie) of Milltown One; his siblings, Junior Smith of Campbellsville One and Wanda Creasy of Covington; his grandchildren, Jordan Smith (Thomas), Emily Hawboldt (Dan), Ricki Ann Smith, MaKayla Smith and Aaron Smith; and his great grandchild Charlotte Jane Smith. He is also survived by Two step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Grissom-Martin Funeral Home (200 Campbellsville St, Columbia, KY 42728). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to Pickett's Chapel Church or Gideon Bibles which can be made at the funeral home.
