He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Bryce and Audry Reed Lovitt. He is survived by: his wife Winnie Carol Lovitt; his sons, Edgar Clay Lovitt (Louvinda) and Roger D. Lovitt, Jr.; his grandchildren, Cody Lovitt (Misty), Hope Lovitt, Shelby Lovitt (Emory Chandler), Alicia Lovitt (Seth Nowling), Lindsey Harris (Cameron) and Cameron Pruitt (Bailey); and his sister Sharon Hatcher. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home (210 Greensburg St, Columbia, KY 42728). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Lebanon National Cemetery (20 State Hwy 208, Lebanon, KY 40033).
