He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Chester and Nadene Brown Shelton; and his brothers, Ronnie and Michael Shelton. He is survived by: his daughter Nicole Merkle (Joe) of Oak Lawn, Illinois.; his grandchildren, Alec Merkle-Shelton, Aubrey Merkle-Shelton, Addison Merkle-Shelton and Tyler Merkle; and his siblings, Robert Shelton of Columbia One, John Shelton of Columbia One and Anita Jurkovic of Chicago, Illinois..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Grissom-Martin Funeral Home (200 Campbellsville St, Columbia, KY 42728). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
