It is with sadness that the passing of William Richard Baker of Columbia, Kentucky is shared. William, born on June 18, 1944, passed away on August 18, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edd Lee and Lillie Mae Coomer Baker; and his siblings, Willie Elmer Baker, Clarence Embry Baker, Stanley Baker, Willard Baker, Woodson Baker, Mary Helen Bunch, Claristeen Reliford and Dimple Coomer.
He is survived by: his wife Gladys Bennison Baker of Columbia; his daughter Gidget; his son-in-law Timmy Royse of Columbia; his granddaughter Emilee (Dustin Brockman) of Columbia; and his great grandchildren, Asher Brockman and Lottie Brockman.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 22nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Grissom-Martin Funeral Home (200 Campbellsville St, Columbia, KY 42728). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 22nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to Jones Chapel Church, which can be left at the funeral home.
