She was predeceased by: her husband Franklin O'Neil Johnston Sr.; her parents, Clarence Cox Sr. and Emma Mayes Cox; her son O'Neil Johnston Jr.; her siblings, Shirley Poore, Don Cox, Darrell Cox, Peggy Goins (Cookie) and Clarence Cox Jr.; and her grandson Tyler Scott Roberts.

She is survived by: her children, Billie Jean Roberts (Scott) of Lewisburg, TN and Phillip Todd Johnston of Lexington, KY; her grandchildren, Joshua Roberts, Amber Roberts, Jeremy Roberts, Aaron Johnston and Tyler Roberts; and her great grandchildren, Isabella Roberts, Tate Roberts, Laila Woodson, Tyler Shawn Roberts, Noah Roberts and Averi Roberts.
