He is survived by: his wife Charity Tye of Corbin, Kentucky.; his children, David Floyd Tye of Corbin, Sandra Renee Tye of Lily, Timothy Tye of Corbin and Cynthia Downing (Marc) of Elizabethtown, Kentucky.; his grandchildren, Jonah Nolan, Danielle Nolan, Riley Downing, Logan Downing, Vickie Tingle (Tim), Scott Floyd Tye, Destiny Rose Tye and Emma Downing; and his brothers, Terry Tye of Williamsburg, Tommy Tye of Tennessee and Wendell Tye of Ohio.
