He is survived by: his wife Karen Tompkins Messer; his children, Gina Barajas (Nabor Cruz), Amanda Peavley (Steven), Rachael Hubbard (Jacob), Langdon Messer and Emily Messer; his siblings, Renfro Messer, Maggie Owens, Georgia Miller, Oscar Messer, Rick Messer and Lloyd Messer; his grandchildren, America Barajas, Graciela Barajas, Xander Cruz, Dominic Hart, Abigail Peavley, Jeremiah Peavley, Lucas Hubbard and Tanzara Disney; and his close friend Jerry Bartolo. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
