He was predeceased by: his parents, Nannie Rapier Cox and George; his wife Olive Ellen Cox; and his siblings, Ruby Collette, Fred Cox, Earl Cox and Bill Cox.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Marie Cox of Corbin, Stacy Wayne Cox (Angela) of Corbin and Darin Cox (Michelle) of Corbin; and his sister Lucy Shelton of Corbin.
A graveside service was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cumberland Memorial Gardens (5970 US-25, Corbin, KY 40701).
