She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. J. M. Skeen and Roxie Skeen; her former husband Willard Sears; her husband Joe Gibson, Jr.; her grandsons, Mark Sears and Kenny Ray Shaw, Jr.; and her siblings, Johnny Skeen, Thelma Woolum, Wendell Skeen, Betty Smith, Polly Skeen, Melvin Skeen, Naomi Harp, Imogene Powers and Tommy Skeen.
She is survived by: her children, Don Sears (Jayne), Bob Sears (Wanda), Wookena Alder (Corky), Gail Gibson Ellis, Garry Gibson (Hala) and Tim Sears (Frances); her sisters, Abby Shackleford and Kathleen Smith; and her pet Henry. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hart Funeral Home (1011 Master St, Corbin, KY 40701). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hart Funeral Home Chapel (1011 Master St, Corbin, KY 40701).
