She was predeceased by: her son Jamie Andrew McCoy; her parents, Clarence Taylor and Elizabeth Sharp Siler; her stepfather Robert Siler; and her siblings, Evelyn Kinman, Dalphene Nagle, Colleen Turner and Bill Taylor.

She is survived by: her husband Terry Newsome; her son Sam McCoy (Barbara); her grandsons, Tyler McCoy (Stephanie), Jacob McCoy (Bailee) and Josh McCoy; and her great grandchild Adalyn McCoy. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
