It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jim D. Jones of Corbin, Kentucky, who passed away on August 20, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Jim is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Jim's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Jones and Helen Anderson Jones; his wife Phyllis Jones; his grandson Tye Hamblin; and his sister Donna Kay Ping.
He is survived by: his daughters, Shea Lawson (Shawn) of Corbin, KY and Tara Prewitt (Jeff) of Corbin, KY; his grandchildren, Bryson Lawson (Kenzie), Emily Hamblin and Logan Prewitt; and his great grandchild Asher Lawson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
