He is survived by: his wife Anita Day Sawyers; his son John Sawyers (Pamela); his stepdaughter Monica Shelton (Tim); his grandchildren, Joshua Runyon, Nicholas Runyon, Rachel, Isaac Shelton, Makayla Shelton, Laythan Mullins, Derek Roark, Stephanie Southerland and Tiffany Davis; and his brothers, Leland Sawyers (Kathern) and Richard Sawyers (Charlotte).
