He was predeceased by: his parents, Mavin Masden and Leo Bell Trett Masden; his wife Debra Masden; and his siblings, Anna Jean Holland and Denny Masden.
He is survived by: his brothers, O. L. Smith of Corbin and George Ebert Smith of Hamilton, Ohio; and his nieces and nephews, Robert "Rob" Smith, Orla "Lee" Smith, Tony Griffith, David Griffith, Casey Masden, Jamie Smith of Ohio, Eva (Sam Sizemore) and Tamara Masden.
