He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Adkins and Edna Shafer Adkins; his half-siblings, George Adkins and Marjorie Richmond; and his son David Champlin.
He is survived by: his wife Margie Adkins; his children, Melinda Adkins, Willie Champlin, Eddie Champlin, Virginia Bingham, Gary Champlin, Brian Champlin, Kimberly Hopkins, Steven Champlin, Karen Owens and Cynthia Champlin; and his siblings, Thomas Adkins and Ailene Wiggins. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Due to COVID-19, persons attending either should wear a mask and practice social distancing.
