He is survived by: his parent Lillie Mae Rhodes Sawyers; his siblings, George Smith of Corbin, Alpha Sawyers, Jr. (Faith) of Michigan, Mayetta Beaumont (Terry) and Cleta Gross (Jimmy) of Corbin; and his siblings' child Bill Sawyers.
