She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Yates and Lola Yates; her husband Talmadge Russell; her son Michael; and her siblings, Elizabeth McKeehan, Mazie Rogers, Martha Campbell, Irene Yates, Clarence "W. C." Yates, Leonard Yates and Glenn Yates.
She is survived by: her son Ronnie; and her brothers, Leroy "Dusty" Yates and Clyde Yates. She is also survived by several nephews, nieces, family, and friends.
