Rex Lee Childers Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 8, 2025, at the age of 78, Rex Lee Childers of Corbin, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, O'Neil Childers (Bone) and Rudell Martin Childers. He is survived by: his wife Mary E. Childers; his children, Richard L. Childers of Somerset, KY and Cherie Leanne Larson of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Trista and Cole; his siblings, Mary Ann Wells (Bill) of Corbin and Charles Ray Childers of Owensboro, KY.; and his stepchildren, Teresa Coleman of Taylor, MI, Darrell Zilinsky (Jennifer) of Lily, KY and Chris Ellison (Amy) of London, KY. He is also survived by 13 step grandchildren and 10 step great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Dorthae Pentecostal Church (2381 KY-1223, Corbin, KY 40701). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, we would like to request that donations be made to cover the cost of his funeral services.
