He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Harris and Gladys Clabough Harris; his sons, Richard Lynn Harris Jr., Michael Wayne Harris and David Randall Harris; his grandsons, Justin Michael Harris and Michael Wade Harris; and his siblings, Betty Day, Charles Harris and Buddy Harris.
He is survived by: his wife Lana Taylor Harris of Corbin; his daughter Kathy Harris Compton (Rob) of Helena; his stepchildren, Elizabeth Kidd (Craig) of Williamsburg and John Frederick Kanter of Corbin; and his grandchildren, Jessica Joseph (Marc), Shannon Dawson (Hunter), Sean Harris (Brandi), Mack Harris, Alexis Rhiannon Cofer (Travis), Lindsey Harris, Max Harris, Montana Harris (Kady), Kabriel Harris, Emmanuel Compton, Andrew Stack, Allyson Stack, Harleigh Patrick, Colin Kidd and Taylor Kidd.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Ellison Funeral Home (512 Main St, Williamsburg, KY 40769). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
