He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard Rogers and Violet Felts Rogers; his children, Shantaine Barton (Brandon), J. D. Rogers (Bettina), Richie Rogers (Emily) and Jennifer Rogers; his grandchildren, Tyler, Promise, Corey, Brady, Cooper, Rhilynn, Sarah, Caleb, Reese and Matthew; and his close friend Shirley Hibbitts.

In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be made to the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
