He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Baker and Thelma Baker; his brothers, Louis, Claude and Jessie Baker; his former wife Betty Ruth Smith-Baker; and his grandson Bryan Alan Gehm.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Ely Baker; his children, Dr. Timothy Wayne Baker (Shonnie) and Brenda Baker Gehm (Richard); his stepchildren, Marty Taylor (Saundra) and Paula Felts; and his brother Pete Baker. He is also survived by three Grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; eleven great step-grandchildren.
