He is survived by: his mother Ethel Hammons Smith; his children, Amanda Smith (Josh Valdes) of Nashville, TN and William Matthew Smith of Nashville, TN; and his siblings, Peggy Smith of Girdler, Debbie Mills of Corbin, Donna Hanson of Kennesaw, GA and Michael Smith of Jasper, GA.
