It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rebecca Jonell Scales Cottingham of Corydon, Kentucky, who passed away on October 9, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Scales and Rachel Scales; her daughter Kathy Lynn Scales; and her brothers, Raymond Scales and Harold Scales.
She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" Cottingham; her children, Tracee Dickerson (William) and Robert Cottingham, Jr. (Christina); her brother Richard Scales (Rita); her grandchildren, Ashlee Dickerson, Ryder Cottingham and Ruby Cottingham; and her sister Melissa Survant. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home (629 S Green St, Henderson, KY 42420). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Greenwood Cemetery (27-119 S. State Street, Chandler, IN 47610).
