He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Wehrmeyer and Marcella Wehrmeyer; his sister Ruthie Wehrmeyer; and his brother-in-law Jack Steffen. He is survived by: his children, Matthew Bernard Wehrmeyer (Alicia O'Bryant) and Beth Marie LaBelle (Ryan LaBelle); his grandchildren, Kerrick Turner, Logan Gardner, Drew LaBelle and Melinda LaBelle; his sister Anne Steffen; and his nieces and nephews, Mark Steffen (Kim), John Steffen (Angie), Judy Hoffman (Steve) and Laura Saunders (Steve).
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Mother of God Catholic Church (119 W 6th St, Covington, KY 41011). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 12:05 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 1:05 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North (205 Eibeck Ln, Williamstown, KY 41097).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bernie's memory to Carmel Manor in Fort Thomas, Kentucky.
