He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred K. Read and Lauretta Harris Read; his brother William "Bill" Read; his in-laws, Ann and Mike Sticking; and his siblings-in-law, Don and Sue Stickling.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Stickling Read; his children, F. Kelly Read, III (Deanna White), Michael Brennan Read (Allison), Lauri Read (Donald Kuhnlein) and Kara Read Marino (Frank); his brother John Basil "Jack" Read (Diana); his sister-in-law Dottie Read; and his grandchildren, Quinn, Meredith, Claudia Read, Katharine, Daniel, Jane Kuhnlein, Frederick "Rick" and Peter Marino. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Cathedral Basilica (1140 Madison Ave, Covington, KY 41011). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
