It is with sadness that the passing of John J. Summe Jr. of Covington, Kentucky is shared. John, born on April 26, 1943, passed away on August 30, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Summe, Sr. and Jessica Summe; and his wife LeaAnn Summe. He is survived by: his children, Max Summe and Maria Midzak; and his siblings, Fred Summe, Chris Summe, Tony Summe, Marguerite Schabell, Eleanor Goering and Martha Fritsch. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Augustine Church (1839 Euclid Avenue, Covington, KY 41014). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North (205 Eibeck Ln, Williamstown, KY 41097).
Memorial donations may be made to a local Catholic parish for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass to be offered for the repose of his soul.
