He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Brake and Asella "Sally" Brake; and his siblings, Lenny Brake, Marian Keim and Sylvia Overmann.

He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Christofilakos (Peter), Chris Brake (Sarah Barton) and Timmy Brake; his siblings, Tom Brake (Yelonda), Robert Brake (Kathy) and Bonnie Kays (Roger); his grandchildren, Laki, Lily, Lazo, Lyla, Kaden, Peyton, Chloe and Zoe; and his niece Amy Barnes (Jason). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the St. Patrick Church (3285 Mills Rd, Taylor Mill, KY 41015). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 28th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
