She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert Nixon and Betty Nixon. She is survived by: her son Chad Nixon; and her sisters, Linda Verkamp Kidwell (Lud), Kim Gurren (Tim), Cherae Vallandingham (Tony) and Marlisa Deaton (Troy). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
