He was predeceased by: his parents, John Meehan and Mary Meehan; and his sister Katie Meehan. He is survived by: his siblings, Joanne Hann (Edwin) and John Meehan (Jena); his nephew Eric Breetz (Sarah); and his nieces, Aaren Keel (Justin) and Cullen Travers (Shawn). He is also survived by 6 great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials are suggested in Michael's name to St. Benedict Church.
